Acropolis Neoclassical Mansion

This apartment is located near the Acropolis and within walking distance of the neighbouring neighbourhoods. Positive: The apartment is located close to the Acropolis. It had spacious bedrooms and living room, comfortable beds, and air conditioning. The kitchen was equipped with dishes, cutlery, pots and pans, toaster, and coffeemaker. The espresso coffee and chocolates were very good and much appreciated! Negative: The kitchen floor tiles looked dirty. It had a very small table that could accommodate only three people. Cooking utensils were lacking only two or three were provided. The only pantry items provided were coffee, salt and sugar. No black pepper or cooking oil were provided. A tea towel to dry dishes would be appreciated. The cold shower I took because no instructions were left stating that the heater in the kitchen had to be turned on 30 minutes before use.

Great location for short family stays in the city Positive: The location is very great and staff was helpful and professional. Everything went well! The house is perfect for a few days exploring the city. Everything can be reached by foot but it was anyways very quiet to relax. We found the patio particularly great. Great place for families. Negative: The quality of the house is a bit lower than expected by the pictures. E.g there is some mist in the bathroom and the door to the storage room is broken. Also there is no real place inside to sit and dine with four persons, so when weather does not allow to sit outside or you want to stay longer, it is not the perfect solution.

If it was not for the pleasant visit we had with an associate that came to turn the hot water on THE SECOND DAY I would Positive: Location is excellent. Safe neighborhood, quiet and airy. Negative: It appears that the owners (corporation) have too many properties thus are not able to adequately maintain the facilities. I’m not talking about city infrastructure (sewer smell) as I am aware Athens is a historic city. What I am referring to is broken interior doors, floors, broken tiles, toilet handle inoperable, missing trim and gapping holes around appliances. Things that a home owner would correct.

It suited our needs for our 4 night stay. Positive: Location was great. Negative: Noisy.
